It seems myself and Sheri have started a Halloween tradition. Last year we did a photoshoot with Tegan recreating the famous Harley Quinn character from Suicide Squad and a pink-haired Day of the Dead Princess. Check it out here.
This year we decided to dig a bit deeper into our “darker” sides (truthfully, this wasn’t very hard for us to do, as we both have a twisted love for anything creepy) and these images are the result.
I have always been obsessed with the SAW movies and with the release of the new SAW movie Jigsaw I wanted to portray the famous Jigsaw character – Check out the trailer here so amped to watch this.
Sheri did the most insane, twisted and creepy version of a Nun – I am always blown away by her creative flair and love for outrageously awesome outfits.
In order to complete our looks, we needed some badass makeup, and who better to collaborate with then the extremely talented Johan known as @funksterltdmua on Instagram. Check out his work, he is truly talented.
Of recent, I have taken some time off and dedicated it to write my first novel. As mentioned on my Instagram I wanted to share my first rough chapter with everyone. This has been a very personal project of mine, so being open about this side of myself is a big step and one that makes me feel very vulnerable to my readers. With that being said though, I love growing with my readers so that is exactly why I wanted to share a rough copy of my first chapter.
I absolutely love watching and reading horrors/thrillers, so it was a no-brainer that my first book would be a suspense thriller – I am having so much fun writing my first novel, learning so much as I go along and not to mention the thrill of having a new challenge in my life is refreshing.
Casey Black’s story follows an unfortunate series of events that lead up to her kidnapping. Forced to return to her hometown after being fired from her big-city job as a reporter. Casey is trying to deal with the death of her father, and a devastating breakup all while housing a secret that would ruin her reputation for good. Her life has spiralled out of control to where she finds herself living on her best friend Rachel’s couch. Kidnapped and imprisoned by a familiar face, now faced with the reality she might not make it out alive.
If you’re intrigued and interested to read my first chapter (rough copy), follow this link. I would love to hear your feedback. I am always open to constructive criticism so please comment, or email me.
