I absolutely love this time of the year! Tis the season and my festive season usually starts in November. Work starts to quieten down, all the shopping malls are kitted out in fairy lights and beautiful Christmas decorations, evenings become longer, hair becomes lighter and our skin welcomes a tan shade. Sadly, though I DON’T TAN! I go from scary white to lobster red and then back to scary white. So instead of relying on sun rays I will visit my local tanning salon to get my summer glow.
So what’s getting me all excited this month? I work in the tourism industry which means we always go all out for our end of the year function. In exactly 6 days, our company will be spoiling all staff members to a weekend away in the stunning province of Mpumalanga. I have recently this year gone up to Mpumalanga for work, however, this time I will be going up to relax and have some innocent fun. It is definitely one of my favourite destinations to vacation which is why I’m itching to leave. If I could sum up this province in three sentences, it would have to be: Very hot and unpredictable weather, an abundance of wildlife and a rich colourful culture. Most information regarding our trip is being kept very hush so I can’t elaborate any more, none the less I will most definitely be writing a post about my experience on my return.
Packing for a trip like this is always loads of fun, and with my new love for fringe onboard it makes it all a whole lot easier. My summer obsession right now, is anything fringe, if it has anything fringe I will no doubtable buy it and love it forever. Some might agree I have gone a tad bit overboard. I am that girl that will wear fringe on fringe on fringe – YOLO.
