#MyHairMyWay journey started from the age of thirteen. I still remember begging my mom to take me to the hairdresser, as I wanted fresh layers and blonde highlights for my first day of high school.
Since then, I have had every single hair colour and hair style imaginable. From sleek black to a short brown bob, from red lowlights to blonde with bangs, you name it, I’ve done it. I have always been an avid believer in expressing myself through my hair and that is exactly what I have been doing throughout the years.
In the past two years, I started experimenting more with fashion colours. After finding the perfect hair studio I started off with silver hair as my base and from there I have had violet hair, bright neon orange hair and my recent favourite, pink hair. Having gone through a major transition in my life I felt my hair needed to play the part. I knew the type of person I wanted to be and it was important that my hair expressed that same sentiment.
My family have and always are very supportive of my hair choices and are constantly joining me in celebrating my uniqueness. I chose to wear #MyHairMyWay as I don’t conform to industry beauty standards. Besides who better to decide what beautiful is, but you yourself. I am proud of my hair and love standing out from the crowd. I celebrate all woman who embraces their hair, their way.
I love my hair journey and I love knowing that Dove is always there to help protect my hair, especially when I fear damage and breakage from all my crazy colour experimenting. I know that I never have to worry or have anxiety when deciding on my next colour because I know my hair has the best support it can get with Dove.
