Its 8.50 pm and my cat has brought yet another poor victim of pray into my bedroom, that’s the 5th gecko this week. She is such a little savage “If she brings you gifts my baby that means she really loves you” My mom shouts from the lounge, TV blaring with the crime channels theme song. I roll my eyes as I try piecing together the images from last week’s shoot with Tegan. Honestly I don’t know how my mother can watch that program every night, quite frankly it would give me the Heebie-jeebies. Feeling the love mom, feeling the love I shout back as my cat stares up at me lifeless gecko at her feet. I suppose I’ll have to cut her some slack today, after all it is my cat’s birthday, so I’ll let this one slide.
I love Sundays, there’s something about that lazy feeling that helps motivate me for the new week ahead. I have spent the entire day watching the Hallmark Chanel in bed. Romantic and very predictable movies on repeat is my idea of a perfect day. All these movies seem to have a similar story line; girl meets boy, girl and boy don’t get along and then without fail they fall in love and live happily ever after, the end. Usually I am NOT a fan of these types of corny movies, but today I’ve made the exception, I’m in the mood for none stop happy endings.
About this look
It took everything out of me to pluck up the courage and pose in a full piece swimsuit. I’ve never owned swimwear besides the odd bikini top that emerges from the back of my draw once a year on a scorching hot summers day. The last time I remember owning anything remotely close to a full piece was that one family trip to Namibia, I was 8 years old and I wore a bright pink bathing costume that had a ridiculous floral skirt attached to it.
I decided after 10 months of training with Rush Tush, molding my figure into a curvaceous temple, that it was the right time to show off my progress and embrace my curves. I wanted to share my confidence with everyone in the hopes that it will encourage other full figured ladies to do the same. It’s not about what size you wear, it’s about how you wear your size (stolen from an online quote) that quote struck a nerve and was my tipping scale to share this post and these images.
Myself and Tegan kept things very classy and fun. I am very happy with how the photos turned out and grateful to Tegan for helping me achieve this goal.
